IAA awarded The KeepWell Mark

30 October 2018
The Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) was awarded Ibec's The KeepWell Mark™ on 8 October in recognition of the IAA’s commitment to employee wellbeing. The IAA is the first commercial semi-State company to achieve this accreditation.
The KeepWell Mark™, an Ibec initiative, is an evidence-based accreditation and award that recognises Irish employers for investing in workplace health and wellbeing. Its aim is to help Irish organisations benchmark workplace wellbeing activity through a set of systematic and methodical steps.
During the on-site assessment, many examples of good health and safety practices were noted, including the annual company health and safety conference that gathered stakeholders in the business to share expertise on health and safety issues. The IAA also received a Higher Distinction at the Annual Occupational Safety Awards in 2017 and 2018.
The IAA provides a range of information on healthy eating to employees which is available on the company’s intranet and through its occupational health providers’ portals. They also organised a series of healthy eating events including talks on food labels, beat the energy slump and the breakfast of champions.
Brendan Mulligan, Director  of Human Resources said: “achieving The KeepWell Mark™ is important to us as it formally recognises and acknowledges organisations that put the wellbeing of employees at the forefront of company policy. We are delighted that our commitment to employee wellbeing has been recognised in this way."
Congratulations to the IAA on achieving The KeepWell Mark™.
